Golden Time —Zhou Shichao Oil Painting Exhibition

(  DIVENCI  )

The "Golden Time" oil painting series exhibition by Zhou Shichao is organized by Divenci Art on June 18, 2025, in Paris, France. This series of works, characterized by its interplay of light and shadow, emotional depth, and delicate sensibility, delves into the profound connections between memory, light, and emotion. Warm tones and vibrant textures come together to create a poetic tableau reflecting the passage of time. The series merges Chinese tradition with Western modern art, offering a visual experience that is both serene and profound. Each piece invites viewers to immerse themselves, listening to the resonances and stories that transcend time and space, bridging cultural heritage and contemporary expression.

A particularly notable moment of this exhibition is the attendance of Mr. Christophe Durand-Ruel, descendant of the legendary Durand-Ruel family, which has left a profound mark on art history. Without this visionary family, masters such as Monet, Renoir, Degas, and Pissarro might not have gained the recognition they deserved. Their works are now celebrated as world-class masterpieces, valued at hundreds of millions of euros. More importantly, it was the Durand-Ruel family that first conceptualized the "gallery" model for exhibiting and selling art, laying the foundation for the gallery system as we know it today. They played a decisive role in the birth and dissemination of Impressionism, bringing this artistic movement to the world. Mr. Christophe Durand-Ruel's special attendance at this exhibition, as a tribute to Mr. Zhou Shichao's creative work, not only represents high recognition for the artist but also imbues the event with deep historical and symbolic significance—particularly for the dissemination and development of Chinese art in Europe.
